Phil, I definitely do not disagree that the barbell curl is great.. but we are all different & looking for different results. I change it up a lot & for me, when I saw the best results.. again for me, was when I added in incline dumbbell curls & those EZ curl bar preacher bench curls. I know you don’t like them BUT this is when I saw my biceps make the most improvement.. I still do the straight bar but I change it up all the time. Course, I am where I want to be in terms of my bicep muscles so I am not trying to gain. Maybe yours is best for the big gainers….. all good though!
Indeed! If you got results doing it you way, than that’s great, and in the end, perhaps all that matters. When it comes to fitness matters Jody, I think you’ve got not only your head but your body in the right shape, so keep at it. And as you said, it’s all a question of goals–the important thing is to know what you’re striving for, and to be realistic and determined and thus achieve it 😉
